Hyuga is not remembered for having any major achievements in it's operational history. Built during World War One, the ship was modernised and refit several times but still thought to be considered obsolete by the outset of World War Two. Later equiped with a dedicated float plane flight deck in the rear, the ship never used it's aircraft in anger.
