This model represents the P-51D nicknamed 'Daddy's Girl" and flown by Major Ray Shuey Wetmore of the 370th Fighter Squadron,359th Fighter Group in 1945.

Major Wetmore was a quadruple ace in the US Army Airforce having shot down 21.25 enemy aircraft. The Major was awarded numerous medals and citations during his career.
