Description

During World War II, aircraft were often in short supply and so the A-20G Havoc aircraft were on "Loan" from US 5th Air Force to the RAAF for offensive action against the Japanese.

A-20G Havoc aircraft served with just one RAAF squadron, No. 22 Squadron which saw a lot of action in the East Indies theatre of action. In June of 1944, the squadron received the first of 28 A-20Gs, plus one A-20J. Their serials were A28-50 through 78

This model kit includes 2x decal options for A-20G Havoc aircraft in RAAF service.

  • A28-63 of No 22 Squadron that was badly damaged by anti-aircraft fire over Boela in 1944 and subsequently crash landed at Kamiri strip on Noemfoor Island. Both the crew of Flight Officer MacKenzie and Senior Sargent Pedlow escaped uninjured.

  • A28-78 of No. 22 Squadron was returned to the US Army Air Core in 1945.
