Description

The German Armored Train Panzertriebwagen Nr.16 was a heavily armoured railway cruiser for patrolling railway lines in contested areas on the Eastern front of World War II.

The unit was initially armed with 20mm Flak 38 anti-aircraft guns and later turreted Putilov 76.2 field guns. The unit was used by the German army by army group centre at the battles of Rawa Ruska and Lublin before being captured by the Soviet army and handed over to the Polish.

The train is now on display in the railway museum Warsaw.
